Have you been mesmerized by Envi's Free Electronic Art in our store window?  You too can have this same,
free electronic artwork on your P.C.
Click here to visit Electric Sheep and download/install this fantastic
screen saver!
Note: Envi has no affiliation with Electric Sheep and does not provide any technical support for installation (however since it's a
pretty cool program and not exactly user friendly to set up, we've given you some detailed instructions on how to download and install it
below)
Home
First off, a couple of things yo should know about this program:

It's basically a high end screen saver.  You will need a broadband Internet connection,  a P.C. that has a fairly decent
processor and amount of  RAM memory, good graphics card and decent size hard drive.  If you have an older P.C. and
none or just some of the above meet the criteria listed, you're likely out of luck (but try anyway, you never know!)

The Electric Sheep website is not exactly intuitive and/or user friendly, so we've attempted to provide you some easy
step-by-step instructions to get you started:

When you first visit the Electric Sheep website (http://www.electricsheep.org), go to the download section and based
upon your operating system, download the appropriate installer.

Once you've installed the installation application, it will come pre-loaded with some MPEG files (these are the movie files
that basically run the screen saver program and the unique images you see)  To download more M
PEG files (highly
recommended, otherwise you'll get bored of w
atching the same screensavers over and over),  you will need to create an
Electric Sheep account (free.)

To create an Electric Sheep account, go to http://community.electricsheep.org/forum/1 and on the left hand side,
select "create new account"  Follow the instructions on creating a new account.  You'll receive a subscription e-mail in the
mail account you ent
ered.

F
ollow that link to complete your account information, then enter your user name and password in the Electric Sheep
configuration utility
, part of the installation package you already downloaded, (see below).  Once you've entered your
credentials, click "login"

As soon as you're logged in,  you're logged on to Electric Sheep's server and it will begin to download new MPEG files
to c:/programdata/electricsheep/content/mpeg
.  You can specify the limit download size in the Electric Sheep
configuration utility (the standard is set at 2000MB, but we'd recommend setting it at a higher limit so you can download
more MPEG files, but be warned, this will fill up your hard drive quickly if you set it too high)

The MPEG files are large (some averaging over 5MB in size), hence the reason you need a broadband Internet
connection.  Don't attempt to download them via a dial-up connection.

To run the program, select "Electric Sheep" as your default screensaver on your P.C.

Since we're really, really nice, if you're still stumped, drop us an e-mail (
admin@envi.biz) and provide us with a phone number
and if/when we have time, we'll give you a call and help you set it up  (much easier over the phone than trying to explain it via
e-mail!)
                                                                                                  Good luck and enjoy!
